How to Edit Posting Details in Property Portal

Overview

For properties subscribed to PostEngine Full Service for Craigslist, the Posting Details page in Property Portal enables you to edit and customize the posting content of your community's Full Service Craigslist ads.

Editing posting details in Property Portal

  1. Log in to Property Portal.
  2. From the Active Properties page, select the Full Service property you’re looking for; you may see it in the properties list, or you can use the search bar to find it by name.
  3. Once you’ve selected a property, click Posting Details in the left-hand sidebar.
  4. To edit any of this information for the property's ads, Click Update Information.

You should see this edit window from which you can add/update/delete your desired changes:

  1. Begin adding your custom content by clicking into the desired text box and typing, or clicking + Add New to open up a new text box to add multiple entries. Some fields (the optional amenities, for example) will open up a drop-down for you to choose from pre-determined choices from Craigslist.
    1. To remove unwanted entries, simply delete the text from the box and leave it empty.
  2. Click Save Changes to have the information updated in our system! Full Service ads made moving forward will now include the new customizations.

Troubleshooting

When I click Update Information, it's not opening the edit window and shows me a "Contact Support" form instead.

Only certain users have permissions to make direct edits from within Property Portal. If you are seeing the Contact Support form instead of the edit window, it means you don't currently have the necessary permissions. Fill in the form to request access and our support team will promptly review your request and reach out with additional questions if needed.

I updated the posting details, why am I still seeing ads with information from before I made the changes?

Changes you make here will only apply to ads created moving forward, it does not change the content of any already existing live ads in the account. Those ads will still be live, and in some cases, Auto-Renew until they expire on Craigslist (the typical life cycle of an ad is 45 days in most regions).
