PostEngine Full Service for Craigslist is PostEngine's complete Craigslist solution where the team at PostEngine handles the creation, posting, and renewal of your community's Craigslist ads. All you need to do is keep the PostEngine app running on your computer throughout the day!

  • What do I need to do? 
    • Install the PostEngine for Desktop app on your computer and keep it running throughout the day. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet, and that it doesn't go to sleep or get shut off. 
  • Do I need to install the PostEngine Desktop app on more than one computer? 
    • You need to install it on at least one computer. It's better to install the program on more than one computer (that way if something happens to one of the devices, we'll still be able to publish your ads on the other one) but only one installation is required.
  • Can I activate my PostEngine app for a Full Service property and a non-Full Service (regular, PostEngine software) property? 
    • No, when you activate your PostEngine app for a Full Service property the app converts to Full-Service mode. The overlay (see screenshot in the section below) will prevent you from using the app to post for regular, PostEngine Software properties. 
  •  Do I need to post ads? 
    • No, with PostEngine Full Service the team at PostEngine handles the creation, posting, and renewal of your community's Craigslist ads. 
  • How many ads will be posted each day? 
    • The number of ads posted each day will vary, depending on your community's availability and what has been requested by your marketing team. Typically, a minimum of 3 ads will be created and posted for your community each day. 
  • Will ads be posted on weekends/holidays? 
    • It depends on your level of subscription! With Basic Full Service, ads will be posted during the workweek (Monday through Friday) excluding weekends, and not on holidays. Premium Full Service includes weekend posting (Saturday & Sunday). 
  • Will my ads be renewed? 
    • Your Craigslist ads will be renewed automatically. The number of renewals will depend on your community's location and corresponding Craigslist site.  
  • Will I receive Craigslist lead emails? 
    • Craigslist lead emails will be delivered to your community's leasing inbox/CRM queue. 
  • Can I delete ads for units/floorplans that are no longer available? 
    • It can be a bit counterintuitive, but it's better to let ads expire after they've completed their lifecycle (45 days in most markets) and to let PostEngine renew them during this time -- this increases your community's visibility on the front page of Craigslist. A pricing and availability disclaimer is included in all ads in the event that pricing/availability becomes outdated during the 45 days.
  • Can I customize my ad content? 
    • The content of your ads is being pulled from your community website and any customization is determined during the onboarding process. If you have questions about additional customization, please contact the PostEngine support team at help@rooof.com
  • The team at PostEngine has converted my PostEngine app to Full Service mode but it looks like it hasn't been updated on my end. 
    • It can take up to 6 hours for the app to look like it's updated to Full Service mode on your end but the team at PostEngine will be able to start posting for you right away. If you'd like to see the Full Service interface immediately, restart your PostEngine for Desktop app to speed up the process!

PostEngine for Desktop in Full Service Mode

If you've already installed the PostEngine for Desktop app on your computer, the team at PostEngine will convert it to Full Service mode for you. 
If you haven't installed the app, you will be provided with everything you need to install and activate your PostEngine. Installation links and activation codes can also be requested anytime here or by reaching out to our support team at help@rooof.com

You will not be able to interact with the following pages when in Full Service mode: My Property, Craigslist, Scheduled Posts, or PostEngine Settings. 

You will still be able to Give Feedback and click Help to submit a report-a-problem bug report and access PostEngine's help docs.

Troubleshooting

I can't find my installation link.

No problem! Installation links and activation codes can be requested anytime here or by reaching out to our support team at help@rooof.com

I don't recognize the phone number in my community's Craigslist ads. 

The number you see in your ads is a PostEngine-controlled lead tracking number put in place to ensure accurate reporting for your community. The lead tracking number forwards to a destination number of your choice, usually your community's own tracking or leasing number. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our support team at help@rooof.com

My computer/PostEngine for Desktop app was shut off by accident.

If your computer or app is shut off and/or disconnected from the internet, ads scheduled to go out during that period will fail. Service will resume as soon as your terminal is back on and connected to the internet. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our support team at help@rooof.com
