Understanding the Website Traffic page

Overview

PostEngine’s Website Traffic Reporting provides you with information about the traffic coming from your Craigslist ads to your property website. 

Each ad posted through PostEngine includes a unique tracking link that captures click-through data before redirecting visitors to your property website. This allows you to monitor key traffic trends and optimize your posting strategy.

With Website Traffic Reporting, you can answer questions like:

  • How many prospects are visiting the property website after seeing our Craigslist ads? 
  • When do they like to visit? 
  • Where are they located?

Accessing the Website Traffic page

  1. Navigate to the Properties section on the left sidebar and select Active Properties.
  2. Find the property you’re looking for by scrolling through the list or use the search bar to find it by name.

  3. Once you've selected a property, click Website Traffic.

Understanding the Website Traffic page

  1. Date Range - Displays the date range currently in view. Click the drop-down to adjust. The Website Traffic Report will update to reflect data from the selected period.
  2. Export - Click the Export button to download a copy of the report. You can export the data on this page in the following formats: CSV, JSON, XLSX.
  3. Property Website URL - The website URL where traffic is being directed.
  4. Top Visitor Location - The most common location of visitors to your website.
  5. Website Visitors - The total number of unique visitors to your website.
  6. Most Active Time - The time when your website receives the most traffic.
  7. Visitors by Location - A map displaying visitor locations, broken down by state.
  8. Visits Per Hour - A graph showing website visit trends by day and hour.
  9. Device Usage - A chart displaying the types of devices used by visitors (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  10. Browser Usage - A breakdown of which internet browsers (Chrome, Safari, etc.) visitors are using.
  11. Operating System -  A chart showing which operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, etc.) visitors are using.

Troubleshooting

The Website Traffic page is locked.

If the page is locked, please reach out to PostEngine’s support team to activate Website Traffic Reporting for your property. You can get in touch by emailing help@rooof.com or by contacting support through Property Portal.

The property website has changed, how do I update the URL? 

To request an update to your property website URL, contact our support team via email at help@rooof.com or through Property Portal.
