Understanding the Phone Calls page
Overview
PostEngine’s Call Tracking feature helps you measure the impact of your Craigslist marketing by attributing incoming phone calls to your ads. The Phone Calls page provides quick access to the call data provided by this feature.
Accessing the Phone Calls page
- Navigate to the Properties section on the left sidebar and select Active Properties.
Find the property you’re looking for by scrolling through the list or use the search bar to find it by name.
- Once you've selected a property, click Phone Calls.
Understanding the Phone Calls page
- Date Range - Displays the date range currently in view. Click the drop-down to adjust. The Phone Reports will update to reflect data from the selected period.
- Export - Click the Export button to download a copy of the report. You can export the data on this page in the following formats: CSV, JSON, XLSX.
- Calls Answered - The percentage of total calls that were answered by the property team.
- Average Duration - The average duration of all calls.
- 30+ Second Calls - The total number of calls lasting longer than 30 seconds.
- Unique Callers - The total number of unique individuals who called. If the same person called multiple times, they are only counted once here.
- Filters - Use filters to refine the calls displayed in the list. You can filter by answered/unanswered calls, or use the search bar to find a specific contact.
Call log - A detailed list of all incoming calls, showing:
- Date & Time - When the call was received.
- Answered status - Whether the call was picked up or not by the property team.
- Duration - The total call length.
- Tracking Number - The phone number used in the ad (PostEngine's lead tracking number) that the prospect called.
- Caller Information - The prospect's caller ID.
- Contact Number - The prospect's contact number.
A note about PostEngine Tracking Numbers!
Every Craigslist ad posted through PostEngine includes a unique call tracking number. When a prospect calls this number, the call is forwarded to the requested destination (typically, the property's own lead tracking number or the leasing office number). This allows PostEngine to track call volume, duration, and unique callers while ensuring a seamless experience for both prospects and leasing teams.
If you see an unfamiliar phone number listed in the Tracking Number column, that’s normal—this is PostEngine’s assigned tracking number for the property.
