Installing PostEngine for Desktop
1. To start the installation process, click on the link provided to you by PostEngine. Click Open Microsoft Store.
2. Click Get.
3. The download will begin. When the process is complete click Open.
4. The activation code has been sent to your property email, enter it here & click Activate. If you can't find your code, please visit our Self-serve Install Page or email help@rooof.com
5. Congratulations! You have now activated your PostEngine. Click Ok to continue.
6. We recommend selecting Allow so that PostEngine can send you alerts.
7. When the download is complete you'll land on the PostEngine Homepage and see the following options:
- Post an Ad - clicking Go to Floorplans Page will take you to the My Property page inside the app. From the My Property page you can use the blue Post Now buttons next to each floorplan to create and schedule your Craigslist posts.
- Training Documents - click View Training Documents to check out the PostEngine Training Center. From there, you'll have access to help docs, tutorial videos, and more.
- Customize Your Posts - click Customize Your Posts to access your settings page and set custom posting options.
- Add an Activation Code - if you post for multiple properties, you'll need to activate your PostEngine for each one. Click Add an Activation Code to navigate to the Preferences tab where you can input your code(s) (for more help with this, see Adding and Removing Activation Codes in PostEngine for Desktop).
When PostEngine for Desktop is Running
- You'll see the PostEngine for Desktop icon displayed in the toolbar on your desktop. In order for the software to complete its automated tasks, it's important that it's left open and running on your computer.
- You may see a series of small pop-up boxes appear in the lower, right-hand corner of your screen indicating tasks that are in progress or have been completed

- Windows 10 version 14316.0 or higher.
Troubleshooting
I don't have my installation link/activation code.
Please visit the Self-serve Install Page for quick and easy access to your installation link and activation code(s).
I don't know my Microsoft Account Login.
If the Microsoft Store is asking you for a password, you are logged in to a Microsoft Account either directly through the store or through your Windows account. You'll need the password to continue, you may have to reach out to your IT support!
I can't download the software.
Please confirm that you are running Windows 10 and have permission to download apps from the Microsoft Store. If not, you may have to reach out to your IT support. If you're still not able to install it, please reach out to us at help@rooof.com.
Do I need to log in to Craigslist?
No, you do not. When you navigate to your Floorplans page and hit Post Now you will be automatically logged in to the correct Craigslist account.
