Changing Your Craigslist Password
Overview
This page explains how to reset your Craigslist password if you've forgotten it and how to change your password if you need to create a new one.
Forgotten Password
To reset your Craigslist account password, follow the steps below.

Head to craigslist.org and on the top right-hand side, click acct.

Click Forgot password? in the bottom right-hand corner of the Log in section.

Enter the email address associated with your Craigslist account and click Reset password.
- Craigslist will send an email including a link to reset your password.
- Go to your email inbox and click the long blue link.
Please note: If you do not see an email, make sure you check your spam/junk folder!
- Enter a new password and click Change Password.
Please note: Craigslist requires you to create a strong password, the password strength bar will need to turn green.
- You will now receive a message confirming that you've successfully reset the password for your Craigslist account!
Changing Your Password
You can change your current Craigslist account password by following the steps below.

Head to craigslist.org and on the top right-hand side, click acct.

Enter your credentials and click Log In.

Click the settings tab at the top left, then click change password.

Craigslist will send an email including a link to reset your password. Go to your email inbox and click the long blue link.

Enter your existing password, then enter the new password you want and click Change Password.
Please note: Craigslist requires you to create a strong password, the password strength bar will need to turn green!
- You've successfully changed the password to your Craigslist account!
