Overview
The following steps will show you how to change the email address associated with your Craigslist account.
Before You Start
You must have access to the current email inbox in order to change the email address to a new one. To ensure that you have access, send yourself an email to both accounts and make sure you're able to receive emails in both inboxes.
Please note: You can only attempt to change the email address on your account once per day and you can only change the email address on your account once every 30 days.
Changing Your Craigslist Email
1. Head to www.craigslist.org and log into your Craigslist account.
2. Click my account in the top left-hand corner. Then enter your credentials and click Log In.
Please note: If you've forgotten your Craigslist password. You'll need to create a new one by clicking on the Forgot Password? link.
3. Click on the settings tab at the top left-hand corner, then click change beside the email address.
4. Enter the new email address in both boxes and click Submit New Email Address. This will send confirmation links to both the old email address and the new email address.
5. Go to your email inbox and open the message email change request and click the long blue link to confirm the email change.
6. Repeat these steps in your other email inbox.
7. When you have confirmed the email change from both emails, the page will tell you the change was successful! Your email is now updated!
