Overview
The Quick Delete feature is built into the PostEngine Settings page and provides you with a fast and easy way to delete outdated/unwanted Craigslist ads.
Once activated, Quick Delete triggers the removal of all ads after a specified number of days (between one and fourteen days) from your Craigslist account.
This feature is helpful for removing ads for units that have been leased, for time-limited offers or specials, or just to help keep your Craigslist account up to date!
Quick Delete is available to all of our clients. If you do not see this section in your PostEngine Settings, please contact help@rooof.com to have it enabled.
To access your PostEngine settings page
If you're using the PostEngine for Desktop application:
- Open PostEngine for Desktop.
- Click PostEngine Settings on the left-hand side.
If you're using the PostEngine Chrome extension:
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click on the puzzle-piece icon in the upper-right corner of the Chrome browser window.
- Click on PostEngine by Rooof.
- Click Settings.
How to Use Quick Delete
Quick Delete is located in the Credentials section of your PostEngine Settings page.
The email address and password for the Craigslist account that you are going to delete ads from will be listed here.
Use the drop-down to choose to Delete Ads Older Than: a day/2 days/3 days/4 days/5 days/10 days/14 days. When you're ready to delete your ads, click Go! You'll see a pop-up indicating the successful completion of the process.
Note: In order for Quick Delete to complete its process it's important that it isn't interrupted. Please do not close the tab that PostEngine auto-opens because doing this will prevent the Quick Delete process from completing. When you see this tab appear just ignore it.
Troubleshooting
I can't find Quick Delete on my settings page.

Do I have to delete old ads?
You don't have to delete old ads on Craigslist, it's completely up to you. Instead of deleting outdated content many of our clients choose to include a pricing and availability disclaimer in their ads. This may already be in place for your property but if not it's really easy to add one in! Click here to learn more.
My property is on Full Service so I can't access my settings page. Can I still use this feature?
No, Quick Delete is only available to software users. For Full Service subscribers, please see Editing and Deleting Your Scheduled Posts
I made a mistake! Can I undo quick delete?
You cannot undo the deletion in the PostEngine app however, you can manually click "undelete" on individual ads by logging into your Craigslist account.
