Update Google Chrome and Check your PostEngine Extension Version

Overview

This page explains how to update Google Chrome and your PostEngine extension. For the best experience, keep both running on their latest versions — Chrome updates automatically by default, but you can also check manually using the steps below. Whenever Rooof releases a fix or new feature, your extension will need to be updated to reflect those changes.

To update your Google Chrome browser, follow these steps:

In Google Chrome, click the Menu button at the top right (three vertical dots). Under Help, click About Google Chrome

This page will tell you the version you are running and whether there are any updates available.

Relaunch Google Chrome to finish updating. All browser tabs will reopen (except incognito windows).

How to Check PostEngine for Chrome Version

Open Google Chrome,  click on the puzzle-piece icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome browser window.

Click on the blue, PostEngine icon and then click Settings.

In your PostEngine Settings page, click on Advanced

Here you can check the version number highlighted below.

If the version number is not up to date, please restart your Chrome browser completely. Once you relaunch the browser, the most updated version number should be shown.
